Tuition location
The language tuition courses take place at your home, out and about (immersion classes) or at your work place. The tuition location(s) is/are specified on the quotation or invoice.
Registration and invoicing
Following your verbal or written registration, you will receive the invoice for the course. This is payable in advance.
Payment in instalments
In the case of payment by instalments, the first instalment is payable in advance, prior to commencement of course. Remaining instalments must be paid at the end of the corresponding month.
Commencement of course
The commencement date of the course will be set in consultation with your tutor. The name of your tutor is available on the offer, registration form or invoice.
Cancellation and refund of course fees
Course cancellations must be submitted to eadeo EADEO GmbH in writing.
For courses with up to 10 weekly lessons, the following terms and conditions for cancellation apply:
- Cancellations received by us at least 14 days prior to the commencement of the course, are free of charge
- In the case of cancellations, for example due to illness, which are received by us at least 5 days prior to the commencement of the course, 50% of the total course fee is due for payment.
- In the case of cancellations, for example due to illness, which are received by us less than 5 days prior to commencement of the course, the entire course fee is due for payment.
For courses with more than 10 weekly lessons, the following terms and conditions for cancellation apply:
- Cancellations received by us at least 30 days prior to the commencement of the course, are free of charge
- In the case of cancellations, for example due to illness, which are received by us at least 14 days prior to the commencement of the course, 50% of the total course fee is due for payment.
- In the case of cancellations, for example due to illness, which are received by us less than 14 days prior to commencement of the course, the entire course fee is due for payment.
The entire course fee is also due in the case of no-show or cancellation during the course. In exceptional cases, in the case of a cancellation outside of the notice period, eadeo GmbH may issue a credit for a course at a later point in time. This requires a written application to the eadeo GmbH, specifying the particular circumstances.
Insurance
We would like to point out that you are not insured by the eadeo Gmbh during your tuition, regardless of the place of tuition. We advise you to obtain insurance.
Postponements
1-3 day lessons may be postponed 24 hours prior to commencement of lesson, at no charge. Cancellations received later, for example due to illness or holiday periods, will incur charges. For courses of more than 4 weekly lessons, postponements are free of charge as specified below; for postponements occurring later, 75% of the costs of the postponed course dates will be charged:
- for courses comprising 4-10 lessons per week, 7 days in advance
- for courses comprising 11-20 lessons per week, 14 days in advance
- for courses comprising 21 or more lessons per week, 21 days in advance
Lessons cancelled by the eadeo GmbH, for example due to illness or absence of the tutor, will either be provided by a replacement tutor or postponed.
Transfer of lessons
Transferring lessons to other people is not possible.
Validity
Lessons are, if not otherwise stated on the invoice, valid for a period of 12 months after the invoice date.
Change of programmes or costs
The rights to changes in prices or courses offered and changes of the General Business Conditions remain reserved. Prices specified in the proposal and/or invoice shall apply.
Enticement of tutors
In the event of a client enticing a tutor into employment for the client themselves, either during the course or up to two years after completion of the course, payment of half the annual salary of the respective tutor, but at least CHF 25’000.- is due.
